GOLD RUSH...

I riflettori su Vicenzaoro, prima edizione 2011, si sono spenti da qualche settimana, gli esperti del settore avranno già fatto i loro bilanci, pertanto non mi rimane che fare una riflessione su quello che la fiera mi ha trasmesso a livello personale.

Da semplice visitatrice, ho fatto strolling in lungo ed in largo, e come ad ogni manifestazione, si cerca sempre quel prodotto che è in grado di catturare la tua attenzione, che ti trasmetta un immediato feeling, una gioia nel possederlo.

Le novità non sono state molte, vengono riproposti gioielli opulenti ed ingombrabti, che spesso soggiornano più frequentemente in cassaforti che al collo delle loro proprietarie. Vorrei aggiungere, ripetitivi.

Certo che sì, ho visto jewelry che avrei acquistato, gioielli colorati, divertenti, ammiccanti, accattivanti, contemporanei.

Un nome che ha catturato la mia attenzione è quello di Elena Martinico.

Questa giovane signora romana esprime e trasferisce nelle sue creazioni garbo, leggerezza, riferimenti al passato ma con un nuovo twist contemporaneo. Le sue creazioni partono dalla progettazione, ed essendo lei anche artigiana, uniscono e fondono tutti gli elementi che poi si ritrovano nelle sue creazioni.

Questi gioielli nascono da una progettualità manuale ed artigianale, con l'obbiettivo di coniugare emozioni, estetica, leggerezza e riferimenti alla natura.

Now that the spotlight on Vicenzaoro 2011 first Gold-Jewel exhibition are turned off, overall balances have been made, It is time for my personal opinion.

I have been strolling visiting all pavillions, and as often happens, hoping to find that special jewel that makes you stop, and wanting to own it.

Over and over I have seen jewels that are repeated every year. Very opulent and expensive pieces that will spend their time looked up in safes rather than worn by their owners.

Of course here and there I have spotted interesting jewels. What I was looking for was a jewel that was coloured, fun to wear, contemporary, and of fine making.

A brand that has captured my attention is Elena Martinico.

This roman young woman transfers her poise, creativity, with accents of the past to meet today's contemporary design.

Her creations start from a project and along with her craftmanship, come to life.

All of her creations are a mixed of emotions, beauty, lightness with a sort of inspiration drawn from nature, a glimpse at the past but with a modern look.
